Marin Olson
PIANIST
Marin was barely old enough to read when she started teaching herself piano. In no time at all, she was studying classical and never wanted to stop learning from the greats. With that classical foundation, her eyes eventually opened to the world of funky grooves. In college and the years after, she jammed on soulful sets with full horn sections in Portland bars, soothed crowds with acoustic shows in Washington D.C., and finally made her way back to Minnesota. Marin started sitting in with Kasano and the Vybes, and in the summer of 2019, joined up and is now proud to call herself one of the “Vybes.” When she’s not on stage, it’s likely you’ll find her enjoying the local brewery scene, exploring the outdoors with her buds, or working her way through med school.

GUITAR
Sweets can still remember the moment he fell in love with music. A friend had brought over a burned CD, and from that CD came the massive first notes of the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ “Around the World”. After that, it was over. He stole his Dad’s guitar and didn’t put it down for years. Taking in everything from Incubus and Muse to Marvin Gaye, Parliament and the Meters, he obsessed over getting the right groove. A lover of all types of music, he has always found different bands to play in to scratch different itches.
Seth
BASS GUITAR
Seth picked up a bass for the first time as high school was beginning and quickly discovered a love of funkiness and clean bass lines. Seth fronted or co-fronted bands throughout high school and early college. Eventually, he found himself in the rock trio, IF YOU WILL, with Stefan and Aaron. After receiving a choral music scholarship to attend Augsburg University, he went on to receive a music business degree with a minor in marketing. These days, Seth has been pulling out his five string bass to back up Kasano and the Vybes and the Twins of Franklin. Seth works in marketing for small businesses and resides in S. Minneapolis with wife, Caitlin and pup, Stella.

Both he and his brother play the drums, but Kasano & The Vybes had its heart set on Aaron. Born in the deep belly of Mahtomedi, Minnesota, Aaron can play you sweet sweet music AND sell you a house!
